The Human Wellness Practice | Monthly Group Program | Begins January 2027

The Wellness Attunement Lab

A monthly 90-minute group lab that teaches you how your nervous system responds to daily life stress, widens your window of tolerance, and increases vagal tone and efficiency, so you develop the self-regulation capacities to meet stressful experiences and return to grounded calm and presence, supported by the co-regulation of a small community practicing alongside you.

Core Intention

Widening Your Window of Tolerance Builds Resilience to Life Stress

Your window of tolerance sets how much of what comes up in daily life can be felt, held, worked through, and integrated, without tipping into hyperarousal above it or going flat into hypoarousal below it, and repatterning the nervous system takes repetition inside a socially engaged state, which each monthly lab provides alongside your own regular practice of the tools you learn.

01

Nervous System Education

The state-to-practice model taught in accessible language each month, mapping the three polyvagal states described by Dr. Stephen Porges, the brilliant founder of Polyvagal Theory: connected, activated, and shut down.

02

Tools and Practice

Four core practices at each lab, each matched to a different nervous system state, building a flexible and practical toolkit you use between labs.

03

Co-Regulation to Self-Regulation

A peer group learning to co-regulate with each other, lending and borrowing capacities based on the state each person is in, leading to the internalization of self-regulation capacities.

The State-to-Practice Loop

Notice, Choose, Practice, and Reassess

Activation responds to movement and completion of the stress loop before stillness is cultivated, and overwhelm responds to narrowed sensory input first, so each practice is matched to the state present in your body at that moment.

1. Notice

A curious and vulnerable look at what is happening in your body right now.

2. Choose

Name the state and choose the practice that matches it.

3. Practice

Apply it for ten seconds to a few minutes.

4. Reassess

Name what changed and what wants to be expressed now.

Group Co-Regulation

Shared regulation practiced with peers as the window of tolerance expands.

The Year Arc

One Question Anchors Each Three-Month Part of 2027

You can join at any month, and each lab stands on its own while building on the part of the year in progress.

PART 1 | JANUARY TO MARCH

What is happening inside of me?

Arrival and a personal baseline, built over the first three months.

PART 2 | APRIL TO JUNE

What does my nervous system need?

Breath, vocal and vagal toning, and matching the intervention to the state present before and after a stressful experience.

PART 3 | JULY TO SEPTEMBER

What belongs to me?

Assessing your own window of tolerance, pendulation and titration, and naming what surfaces with open curiosity and vulnerability.

PART 4 | OCTOBER TO DECEMBER

What helps me return to myself?

Rest, glimmers, savoring, group co-regulation, and a practice integrated into daily life beyond the monthly labs.

Questions

Experience, Clothing, Replays, Time Zones, and Clinical Care

Do I need experience with meditation or somatic work?

No experience is needed. Each practice is explained before we begin, and you are free to pause, opt out, or adapt any practice to what your body wants.

What should I wear and bring?

Wear comfortable clothing you can move and lie down in. For the in-person lab, bring a water bottle and a yoga mat if you have one. For the online lab, choose a quiet space with room to stand, move, and lie on the floor.

Is the online lab recorded?

The guided teaching and practice are recorded and available for 7 days. Small-group breakouts are never recorded, to protect what participants share with each other. The in-person lab is not recorded.

What time is the online lab outside Arizona?

In January and February, 11:30 am Arizona time is 10:30 am Pacific, 12:30 pm Central, and 1:30 pm Eastern. From March 14, 2027, after daylight saving time begins, it is 11:30 am Pacific, 1:30 pm Central, and 2:30 pm Eastern.

Is this therapy?

The lab offers non-clinical somatic education and applied Polyvagal Theory in a group format, and it complements any therapy or clinical care you already receive.
